On October 14, 20 lucky matches were invited to a once-in-a-lifetime match activity – the chance to hang out at the Minnesota Vikings practice facility with players Harrison Smith, Andrew Sendejo and Jarius Wright.
Littles and VIkings played kickball. The kids had a blast…
…and so did the Vikings.
After the game, the Vikings players signed t-shirts,
and fielded hard-hitting questions from Littles. Topics ranged from the location of the water fountains and their favorite baseball players, to how long it took them to get to where they are today (according to Wright, “a lifetime”), their pre-game rituals, the Vikings’ chances at going to the Super Bowl, and the mentors the players themselves had as kids.
Smith, Sendejo and Wright also emphasized how important it is to be good students in high school and in college, and to listen to their parents, coaches and mentors.
But the night didn’t end there! The Vikings players led matches on an informal tour of their facilities and chatted about just about everything.
Everyone who attended had a great time!
To the Minnesota Vikings, Harrison Smith, Andrew Sendejo and Jarius Wright – THANK YOU!!
